Once you determine what your new monthly payment will look like, start earmarking the payment THIS month.  Don't wait till the closing to find out the monthly note is too much. Make sure you will be comfortable making that mortgage payment (ok, so noboby is really comfortable with paying a mortgage).  BUT DO IT!!
